Privacy policy
Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). This privacy policy explains which data we process when you visit this website, for what purposes and on what legal basis.

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf on servers within the European Union; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.
Each time the website is accessed, technical information transmitted by your browser is processed automatically: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer URL, and browser type and operating system. This data is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure stable and secure operation (e.g. to fend off attacks). It is not combined with other data and is deleted automatically once the retention period set by the hosting provider has expired.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The font used on this website is hosted on our own server. No content from third-party providers such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks is loaded when you visit the website.
Contact forms. If you send us an enquiry via one of the contact forms, we process the data you provide: name, email address, company, topic and – in the form on the contact page – optionally phone number, message, preferred call-back time and preferred language. Mandatory fields are marked as such. The information is sent to our mailbox by encrypted email; it is not stored in a database on the website.
To protect against spam and misuse, we do not use third-party captcha services. Instead, we check, among other things, how quickly the form is submitted, an invisible control field and the origin of the request. To prevent repeated misuse, the number of enquiries per IP address is limited; for this purpose the IP address is stored briefly and only in hashed (not readable) form. Technical logs do not contain any personal data.
Email and phone. If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request.
We use your data exclusively to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Where necessary to respond, we forward your enquiry to the responsible partner or network partner of Compliance Networks. Your data is not passed on to any other third parties.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of pre-contractual measures or of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under the Austrian Commercial Code or Federal Fiscal Code) apply.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Technically necessary cookies may be set without consent (Section 165(3) TKG 2021). All other cookies – for example for statistical purposes – are only set if you have expressly consented via our cookie banner (Section 165(3) TKG 2021 in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Your consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn or changed at any time with effect for the future – via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page or directly here:
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If necessary cookies are blocked, some functions of the website may not be available.
If you have consented to statistics cookies in the cookie settings, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Google Analytics helps us understand how our website is used so that we can improve its content and usability. In particular, the following data is processed: pages viewed and time spent, source of the visit (e.g. search engine or referring website), approximate location (country, region, city), technical information about device, browser and operating system, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie. For users in the EU, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; they are only used briefly to derive the approximate location and are then discarded.
We have configured Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly way: the “Google Signals” feature and links to advertising services are deactivated, and the retention period for analytics data is limited to 14 months. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.
It cannot be ruled out that data is transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is therefore covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 165(3) TKG 2021). You can withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy.
Our website contains links to external websites, for example to profiles on LinkedIn or to websites of our partners. These are simple links, not embedded plugins: data is only transferred when you click a link and visit the external website. The respective provider is responsible for the processing on these websites.
Data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR); this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
We update this privacy policy whenever the website, the services used or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
